The Institute and Sc.St.L.

The Stockholm Institute for Scandinavian Law was founded to disseminate knowledge about Scandinavian law and legal theory abroad.

Founder

Professor Folke Schmidt

Professor Folke Schmidt, a revered scholar at Stockholm University, founded the Stockholm Institute for Scandinavian Law in 1956. Professor Schmidt was the editor of Scandinavian Studies in Law from 1956 to 1980.
